NHS treatment
NHS treatment is charged in three bands. One charge covers everything in that band for a course of treatment.
| Band | What it covers | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Band 1 | Examination, diagnosis, x-rays, scale and polish if needed, advice | £27.40 |
| Band 2 | Everything in Band 1, plus fillings, root canal treatment, extractions | £75.30 |
| Band 3 | Everything in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns, dentures and bridges | £326.70 |
NHS dental treatment is free for children under 18, for anyone under 19 in full-time education, during pregnancy and for 12 months after giving birth, and for people on certain benefits. We’re taking new NHS patients for children only; adults can join as private patients.
